Licensed School Psychologist

With over a decade of experience in supporting students and their families within the British Columbia public school system, I am dedicated to fostering student success through comprehensive and compassionate care. As a licensed school psychologist, I work closely and collaboratively with teachers, parents, and administrators to create environments where students can thrive.

My expertise lies in conducting psychoeducational assessments and applying the latest educational research to practical interventions and everyday supports. I have worked with children and youth with learning difficulties, behavioral challenges, anxiety, autism, and intellectual disabilities. Before becoming a school psychologist, I was a special education teacher, where I gained extensive experience in creating individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs. This role allowed me to develop a deep understanding of diverse learning profiles and the importance of tailored support strategies, which continue to inform my practice today.

I am passionate about collaborating with parents, teachers, caregivers, and other significant adults to genuinely see the world through the eyes of the child. My philosophy is that we must first understand before we can intervene. By gaining a deep understanding of a child’s unique strengths, challenges, and perspectives, we can develop effective strategies that truly address their needs and create meaningful and lasting change at home, at school, and in life.

I hold an M.Ed. in Educational Psychology, specializing in School and Applied Child Psychology from the University of Calgary, a B.Ed. in Elementary Education with a Specialization in Special Education, and a B.A. in Speech Science, both from the University of British Columbia.

Beyond my professional life, I enjoy spending quality time with my family on the North Shore and exploring the great outdoors. I am supervised by Dr. Christopher Cardoso and Dr. Danielle Kingdon.
